Altais Names Interim Chief Operating Officer
San Francisco (Wed., Nov. 13, 2019) — Altais has named healthcare executive and consultant Tom Vanderheyden to be its interim chief operating officer, replacing Matt Miller, who has left the company.
Vanderheyden has served in senior roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and United Health Group.
At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Vanderheyden served as executive vice president and president, Diversified Business, where he was responsible for expanding diversified business investments, bringing new healthcare products and solutions to market, and commercializing existing products and services.
Additionally, he had responsibility for internal and external communications; the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation; community health and health equity work; corporate social responsibility strategies; and community relations initiatives.
