Nishant Anand, MD, FACEP, joined Altais as president and Chief Executive Officer in May 2022. As CEO, Dr. Anand leads the organization in its mission to ignite an exceptional healthcare system that cultivates the health and well-being of physicians, patients, and the clinical community. He is passionate about the power of holistic value-based care and is intently focused on delivering solutions that enhance quality, improve outcomes, and transform the patient experience.



Dr. Anand came to Altais from BayCare Health System in Florida, where he served as executive vice president and chief medical officer. Before that, he held leadership roles at AdventHealth and Banner Health Network. Over the course of his career, he has led population health initiatives and accountable care organizations, served on national healthcare policy committees, authored peer-reviewed publications, and received numerous awards for clinical competency, service to underserved populations, and innovation.



A board-certified emergency medicine physician, Dr. Anand earned his medical degree from the Mayo Medical School and completed his residency at the Stanford/Kaiser Emergency Medicine Program. He has served on the faculty of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and as a team doctor for the San Francisco 49ers.

Purav Bhatt is a healthcare operations executive with more than a decade of leadership experience spanning managed care organizations, acute care hospitals, ambulatory centers, outpatient facilities, and home-based care. He has led organizations with large P&amp;L responsibility, overseeing large multi-site teams and delivering measurable improvements in care quality, financial performance, and operational efficiency.



Throughout his career, Purav has built high-performing teams, transformed organizational culture, and implemented innovative care models that drive value-based results. His leadership has improved STAR quality rankings and reduced total cost of care through clinician partnerships, strategic network design, process optimization, and advanced analytics.



Purav’s expertise bridges provider and payor operations, giving him a unique 360° view of the healthcare ecosystem. He has successfully led enterprise-wide technology initiatives and spearheaded programs to enhance patient engagement, clinician satisfaction, and care coordination.



A passionate advocate for transforming healthcare delivery, Purav serves on advisory committees and partners with state and national organizations to advance population health and cost transparency. He holds a master’s degree in medical biotechnology and an MBA with a focus on healthcare and economics. He joined Altais in October 2024 and oversees managed care clinical operations, IT, and analytics.

Purav Bhatt

Vince became President, Southern California Markets for Altais in April 2024. He is responsible for the overall functioning and success of the integrated health networks in Southern California, providing strategic direction to the Altais family of companies. He brings a wealth of experience in transitioning organizations to risk-based value-based care models; same-store and acquisitive growth; increasing patient access and driving primary care-to-specialty alignment.



Prior to joining Altais, Vincent served as Senior Vice President of MSO Operations and Development at Premier/IntraCare Health, where he led the development and scaling of a fully owned primary care network. He also served as Chief Administrative Officer at Highmark Health/Allegheny Health Network, overseeing a 400-plus location healthcare network.



Earlier in his career, Vincent spent nearly 12 years at Tenet Healthcare in leadership roles, including National Vice President of Tenet Physician Resources, and served as CEO of Southwest Cardiology Associates/Heart Hospital.



Vincent holds a BS in marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

President, Southern California Markets

Vincent McVittie

Anthony Nguyen is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of industry experience. As a leader with deep provider and health plan expertise, he focuses on transforming clinical delivery at all levels. He holds multiple patent submissions involving AI and machine learning related to consumer engagement and provider communications.



Before joining Altais, Anthony served as Chief Clinical Officer for Elevance Health, overseeing all aspects of clinical care for more than 50 million lives across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial business. He also served as Senior Vice President of Population Health at UnitedHealthcare, where he led value-based care initiatives, accountable care organizations, and bundled payment programs. His achievements included helping bring more than 85 percent of the nation’s largest Medicare Advantage membership into 4-star or higher plans.



Anthony previously served as Chief Medical Officer for Cognizant, guiding care delivery and risk management strategies for health plans, providers, and pharmaceutical organizations. He is also an entrepreneur with experience in founding and managing healthcare start-ups.

Amy Park is chief financial officer at Altais, bringing more than 30 years of experience in healthcare finance and operations across both payer and provider organizations. A seasoned leader in Medicare and Medicaid managed care, she is known for driving performance transformation and fostering collaborative, value-based partnerships in complex health systems.



Before joining Altais, Amy served as market CFO for California at Molina Healthcare, where she led financial operations for a $4.5 billion health plan. She has also held leadership roles at Optum, Monarch HealthCare, and CalOptima, guiding organizations through large-scale change while maintaining operational discipline and regulatory compliance.



At Altais, Amy oversees financial strategy and operations, helping ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability as it continues to grow its physician-led model of care. Her ability to align financial rigor with mission-driven decision-making supports Altais’ vision of helping physicians thrive and deliver high-quality, connected care to their patients.

Amy Park

Kara Ricci serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Altais, a role she assumed in 2024 after joining the company as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel in June 2021. In this expanded position, she leads the legal and compliance functions for&nbsp; Altais, while also overseeing partnerships and acquisitions, key account and investor management, facilities management, and procurement stewardship.



With extensive in-house experience, Kara supports a broad range of corporate initiatives. She contributes to Altais’ strategic planning and operational processes, leveraging her legal expertise and business acumen to drive company objectives.



Previously, Kara served as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary at NORCAL Mutual Insurance Companies in San Francisco, where she planned and directed all aspects of the NORCAL Group’s legal affairs at the staff and board levels. Prior to NORCAL, she held several senior legal roles, including Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Federal Insurance Programs at The Climate Corporation.



Kara is a former board member for Californians Allied for Patient Protection (CAPP) and is a graduate of the University of California Davis School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of California.

Ryan Faulkner became Chief Strategy Officer for Altais in June 2022 and now serves as President, Northern California. Over his 25-year career, he has held multiple executive leadership roles responsible for growth, market development, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and human resources.



In his role, Ryan leads Altais’ enterprise growth strategy, market development, partnerships, account management, and provider marketing and communications. He also oversees the development of new solutions and capabilities to address the needs of physicians and partners across all regions of Northern California.



Prior to joining Altais, Ryan was Chief Strategy Officer for Brown &amp; Toland Physicians, which was acquired by Altais in April 2020. He has also held leadership positions with Optum and St. Joseph Health (now Providence Health), focusing on helping physician organizations address reimbursement, clinical, and population health opportunities. Earlier in his career, Ryan worked in consulting with Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers.



Ryan earned a BS in psychology and an MA in organizational psychology from California State University, Long Beach.

Rob Geyer serves as Chief of Staff at Altais, supporting the CEO and executive leadership team. He brings more than 35 years of experience in healthcare operations and enterprise transformation, with a career devoted to turning strategy into execution. He has led complex global initiatives, driven technology innovation, and built high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.



Before joining Altais, Rob was Chief Operations Officer for Medica, a $6 billion health plan serving 1.5 million members across the Midwest. He also served as Chief Executive of Reta Trust and as Senior Vice President of Customer Quality at Blue Shield of California, where he spearheaded an enterprise-wide transformation strategy and a $1 billion claims system migration.



Rob holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BA in economics from the University of California, Davis.

Simon Jones serves as Chief Information and Digital Officer at Altais, where he leads technology strategy, innovation, and digital transformation across the organization. He oversees enterprise IT, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital platform development, ensuring Altais’ technology ecosystem supports seamless, secure, and patient-centered care.&nbsp;



With more than 25 years of experience spanning payers, providers, and digital health startups, Simon has a proven track record of modernizing healthcare infrastructure and leading large-scale technology initiatives. Before joining Altais, he served as Principal at Ironwood Health, Vice President of Health Information Technology at Blue Shield of California, Senior Technology &amp; Security Advisor at Tissue Health Plus, and Chief Information Officer at American Medical Technologies. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in product strategy and digital health innovation at Healthfully and other healthcare technology ventures.&nbsp;



Simon is recognized for bridging the gap between clinical, technical, and business teams — transforming complex systems into practical solutions that improve clinician experience, operational performance, and patient outcomes. He is also a former board member of the California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE).&nbsp;



Simon earned his MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
