OAKLAND, Calif. — April 28, 2026 — Altais today announced that its President and CEO, Nishant Anand, has joined the National Academies of Medicine Climate Action Collaborative, a national initiative focused on accelerating healthcare sector solutions to address environmental challenges and improve health outcomes.
His participation reflects a broader, shared commitment across the Ascendiun Family of Companies — including Blue Shield of California, Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan and Stellarus — to environmental sustainability and system transformation. This includes the validation of near-term emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative.
