New centralized phone line helps patients connect to primary care appointments across the Bay Area and Riverside
Altais Medical Group (AMG) today announced the launch of Care Access Now, a new centralized phone line designed to help patients more easily connect to primary care across its network.
By calling 855-592-CARE (2273), patients can be matched with available primary care appointments—including same-day and next-day visits—across AMG locations in the Bay Area and Riverside.
The new service is part of AMG’s broader efforts to reduce barriers to care and improve access to timely primary care services.
“Access to primary care remains one of the biggest challenges patients face,” said Vincent McVittie, Altais Care Network, Chief Operating Officer and President of Altais Medical Group. “Care Access Now simplifies that experience—connecting patients to available appointments quickly and helping them find the right provider for their needs.”
A more coordinated approach to access
Through Care Access Now, patients are connected with a dedicated team member who can view appointment availability across AMG and help coordinate care in real time.
When patients call, the team will:
- Understand the patient’s care needs
- Search appointment availability across locations
- Match patients with the right provider—or the soonest available
- Schedule visits directly
This centralized approach is designed to streamline scheduling and reduce the need for patients to contact multiple offices to find care.
Expanding access for new and existing patients
Care Access Now is focused on helping patients who may not yet be established with a primary care provider, as well as those experiencing difficulty finding timely appointments.
New patients can also establish care through virtual visits, offering an additional entry point into the AMG network.
By improving visibility into appointment availability and simplifying scheduling, AMG aims to better utilize existing capacity and ensure more patients can access care when they need it.
Availability
Care Access Now is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
Calls are answered by a dedicated team based in the Bay Area.
